About Me

Hi, I am a curious designer,
driven by research to make every interaction a little more human.

/shray.yah/

I am a UX professional based in Boston, USA. I have 4+ years of leading products and teams to impact through insight-led research.

I believe products should be built on human understanding, not executive hunches. My work lives at the intersection of empathy and strategy: I identify and observe the friction, uncover the "why" behind behavior, and translate it into insights that cross-functional teams can actually act on.

I specialize in deep qualitative methods that go beyond surface-level feedback. I'm looking for the moments when people pause, the workarounds they've invented, the things they do but would never say in a quick 5 min survey. Then I triangulate with quantitative data to separate signal from noise. That's where real product decisions get made with confidence instead of crossed fingers.

My research shapes strategy, enhances usability, and drives measurable outcomes, because insight that doesn't influence what ships is just expensive curiosity.

My work experience resonates with my similar multi-regional life experiences, spanning across Dubai, India and recently the US. Currently a lead UX Researcher at ButcherBox, I worked as a former UX consultant intern at Ernst & Young Design Studio (New york) + UX Researcher in Bengaluru, India for 3 years @Peepaldesign and @Pensaar Design agencies. Other previous internships were at Tata Elxsi, India and IdeaSpice Design, Dubai.

When I'm not trying to interview users, analyze complex data or write insight statements, you can find me traveling, hiking, drawing Mandalas (P.S I have my own Instagram page) or indulging in ice cream and binge-watching horror movies.

I help teams build the right thing, not just build the thing right. Let's talk if you're tired of guessing.
